Canton of Bern Christmas markets

The Canton of Bern is located in the west-central part of the country and is one of the largest cantons in Switzerland. The canton is crossed by the Aare River, the mountains are located in the southern part in the so-called Bernese Oberland, where famous peaks such as the Finsteraarhorn (4,274 meters), the Eiger, the Mönch, and the Jungfrau are located. The Canton of Bern is a bilingual canton (French and German). The Christmas markets in Bern are among the most beautiful in Switzerland.
