In the southern part of Germany, in Baden-Württemberg, near the border with Switzerland, in the beautiful town of Constance (Konstanz) along the shores of the lake of the same name, a beautiful Christmas market is held. Founded by the Romans under the name of Drusomagus in the 1st century AD, the city received the name of Constantia in the 4th century. The city of Constance has a beautiful historic center (Altstadt) in which the cathedral (Münster) stands out, the most interesting area of the old city is the Niederburg, made up of very picturesque houses and streets.
