Dublin, Ireland’s capital, is located along the island’s east coast, at the mouth of the River Liffey. The city was founded around the tenth century by the Vikings and Celts. Its location was strategically situated as a good natural port to Britain. Since the Middle Ages the town became the political, economic and cultural center of Ireland. Dublin does not have a well-defined center, but the most animated of the city is the Temple Bar district located along the south bank of the River Liffey. During the period of Christmas and Advent, Dublin is home to some interesting Christmas markets, among the most famous and popular the new St. Stephen’s Green Christmas Market.
DUBLIN CHRISTMAS MARKETS
Dublin Flea Christmas Market. The Dublin Flea Christmas Market is back in The Point Village, just beside the Three Arena. The capital’s best loved, free-entry Christmas market will host a whopper collection of over 100 stalls selling a unique mix of funky festive gifts, new and old. There’s something for everyone, even flea market first timers. As alongside the Dublin Flea’s much loved mix of antique, vintage and retro furniture, clothes and collectibles, the Market champions independent Irish craft-makers, designers and artists not found on the high street.

This free-to-enter, family friendly event will host an entirely different selection of stalls each weekend, showcasing 280 of the most exciting up and coming Irish-based creative start-ups & small businesses. Featuring 140 artists, designers and craft makers, retro vintage and antique collectors and artisan food producers each weekend it is a highly curated market with no two stalls alike and no mass produced manufactured goods are on sale.
