Schloss Hof Castle Christmas Market

Schloss Hof is a beautiful Baroque castle located 50 km from Vienna and only 30 km from Bratislava, the castle was built in the eighteenth century at the behest of Prince Eugene of Savoy, purchased by Maria Theresa of Austria it became part of the property of the Habsburgs. The castle still retains its eighteenth-century Baroque garden with pavilions, fountains and statues, while inside there are precious authentic furniture and furnishings.

SCHLOSS HOF CASTLE CHRISTMAS MARKET

1) Christmas market in the courtyard of the Schloss Hof Castle (Schloss Hof Weihnachtsdorf). This market usually takes place on Advent weekends and is made up of over 100 stalls where products from various Austrian regions and neighboring countries are displayed. The market recreates a small Christmas village in the magnificent scenery of the castle, in the courtyard, you will find the baroque stables, the artisan trades, the turnery, the distillery, the weavers, the pastry chefs, and much more. Classical music concerts will be performed in the baroque hall of the castle. For children there will be a small zoo with animals, a living nativity scene, a craft workshop and a playground.
