Buckinghamshire is a county of southeast England. The county is bordered to the north by Northamptonshire, to the north-east by Bedfordshire, to the east by Hertfordshire, to the south-east by the Great London, to the south by Berkshire and to the west by Oxfordshire. The territory is divided in two by the chain of the Chilterns Hills which reaches 260 meters high with Coombe Hill. To the north of the hills lies the Vale of Aylesbury, wide plains drained by the River Thame. Along this fertile valley is located the county seat of Aylesbury. The north of the county is drained by the Great Ouse that runs through the town of Buckingham and borders the new town of Milton Keynes. To the south of the Chilterns Hills the land slopes down to the Thames Valley, which marks the southern border with Berkshire. For the British people Christmas it is one of the most important holidays of the year. The Christmas markets are a rather recent tradition imported from Germany. Here is a list of the most popular Christmas markets in Buckinghamshire.
