Bordeaux Christmas Market

Bordeaux, the capital of Aquitaine, sits along the Garonne River in southwestern France. Bordeaux was already an important city during the Roman Empire, one of the most prosperous in Gaul, when it was known under the name of Burdigala. In the Middle Ages, the city was an English possession for three centuries, then became French in the 15th century Bordeaux is today known for its wine (Vignoble de Bordeaux) and for the beauty of its historic centre, a part of which, called Port de la Lune, was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The Bordeaux Christmas Market which takes place in the central Allées de Tourny is the main event of the Christmas period in the capital of Aquitaine.

Generally, a covered space is set up specifically for the little ones where shows and entertainment are organised.
