Mons Christmas Market

Mons, former capital of the county of Hainaut, is an important Belgian city located southwest of Brussels and not far from the French border. The city center is largely made up of red brick houses, the Grand Place is the heart of the old city, here you can find the Town Hall (Hôtel de Ville), interesting facades of old houses and some fountains. Among the churches the most beautiful is the collegiale Sainte-Waudru, in Gothic style. During Christmas, the city of Mons will welcome you with a typical Christmas atmosphere: throughout the city, thousands of lights will be positioned to wonderfully illuminate the most valuable historic buildings and palaces: the Town Hall, the Grand Place, and all the main shopping streets. A beautiful traditional crib will be set up on the Grand-Place in the historic center of the city.
