Cortina d’Ampezzo Christmas Market

Located at over 1,200 meters above sea level, in a beautiful position among the peaks of the Veneto Dolomites. Cortina d’Ampezzo is a very famous summer and winter holiday resort, surrounded by the peaks of Tofane, Monte Cristallo, Sorapìss, Nuvolau and Croda da Lago, it is located in the center of an enchanting landscape. Cortina is a renowned ski resort and elite tourism. The Cortina d’Ampezzo Christmas Market is the most important event of Christmas. The ceremony for the opening of the Advent calendar takes place every year as per tradition every day between December 1 and December 25. Every day, one of the 25 windows that form the Advent calendar is opened on the facade of the historic building of the former Town Hall. The windows of the calendar light up, illuminating a different work of art dedicated to Christmas every day.
