Edinburgh, Scotland’s capital city, is the main tourist destination in Scotland and one of the most beautiful cities in the UK. Situated in the Firth of Forth, on the North Sea, the city was founded in the Middle Ages and at the end of the fifteenth century it became the capital of Scotland. The city, which is dominated by the medieval castle (Edinburgh Castle), has two very beautiful historic areas, both declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO: the Old Town- in medieval-style – and the New Town – famous for its Georgian architecture of the eighteenth century.

Visitors will enjoy all the Christmas events that take place in Edinburgh, including an ice-skating rink, a Ferris wheel, exhibitions, religious songs and, of course, the famous Hogmanay celebrations, which is the New-year party that lasts for 4 days with concerts, music and events.
